Lesson
Show kids why it is important to recharge so they have the energy to make fit choices.
The lessons in this unit present the four parts of fit—recharge, mood, food, and move—and how they connect and support a healthy lifestyle. Students will learn that having a fit mindset is about having enough energy and the motivation to make healthy nutrition and physical activity choices. Encourage healthy choices throughout the day by downloading the Healthy Choice Posters and the ABCs of a Healthy Me for your classroom or hallway!
Kids turn and talk to define the word recharge. Then make a list together of ways you can recharge your energy without screen time.

Recharge Your Energy
Explain that to recharge is to get energy so you can make healthy choices. You recharge your energy when you sleep 9-12 hours at night and relax during the day. You need energy to make fit mood, food, and move choices. Use the fit Recharge Word Search to get kids thinking about ways they can recharge their energy!
